Our approach was designed to establish REAP as a trusted partner in agricultural risk management while promoting the broader goals of regional food security and agricultural industry support throughout the Caribbean.
The collaboration with the CARICOM communication team has been essential in amplifying the media reach and overall visibility of the programme by leveraging CARICOM's extensive communication channels.
Project Overview
The Regional Economical Agri-Insurance Programme (REAP) partnered with Katalyst Creative to develop a comprehensive brand identity and marketing launch strategy. The initiative aimed to introduce REAP as a groundbreaking agricultural insurance program across the Caribbean region, working in collaboration with CARICOM to maximize reach and awareness.
-
REAP is an innovative agricultural insurance program designed to protect farmers and agricultural businesses across the Caribbean region against extreme weather events. The program serves as a crucial protection tool that provides payouts based on observed losses when events such as drought, excess rain, or wind damage crop production. Its primary objective is to enhance the resilience of agricultural stakeholders through:
Direct payout mechanisms covering production costs
Business interruption coverage
Multi-peril traditional coverage including theft protection
Support for regional food security initiatives
-
As a new initiative, REAP needed to establish a strong brand presence and effectively communicate its value proposition to multiple stakeholders across the Caribbean region. The key challenges included:
Creating a compelling brand identity that would resonate with diverse audiences
Developing a multi-channel marketing strategy to reach government entities, farmers, and the general public
Building trust and credibility as a new regional insurance program
Communicating complex insurance concepts in an accessible way
Encouraging program adoption across different Caribbean nations
